The other day I got caught off guard by Thankfulness.
Has that every happened to you?
I was just going about my business and then BAM it hit me.
And then there I was standing in the check out line at Trader Joes choking back tears.
Judah was sitting in the cart being his sweet toddler self and waiting patiently for his stickers.
Trader Joes gives stickers to kids. It’s just one of the many reasons I stinkin love them.
Titus was in the baby carrier on my front, he had just pooped his pants and I could tell my shirt was wet.
How does that even happen?
Anyway, all of a sudden it struck me.
I have two beautiful kids.
I am about to fill bags full of delicious food, mostly pumpkin flavored.
I have a dang handsome, gracious, selfless, and hard working husband.
We currently have a clean bill of health.
I didn’t mentally list any more things at the time.
But I could have.
Instead I got all pooly while I swiped my debit card and the cashier handed Judah his beloved stickers.
I kissed the boys extra hard as I strapped them into their carseats (after a quick diaper change.)
And quietly thanked Jesus for reminding me of His goodness,
and asked for forgiveness for all the times I forget.
